« on: Friday 21 August 20 16:04 BST (UK) »
Hi   can anyone help me find a death of a Mary Ann Redfearn  DoB 1864
She Married Charles Abraham Evans 1882 in Derby and they had three children
I beleive she died 1889/90
I am trying to clarify something in the family tree but cannot do so until I find the evidence of her death   so far cannot find it on Ancestry

Kind Regards

George

Is this Mary Ann alive in 1891 or a different family?

1891 census
Charles A Evans 1861 Herefordshire bricklayer's labourer
Mary A Evans 1864 Derbyshire
Charles D Evans 1883 Derbyshire
Abraham Evans 1887 Derbyshire
Louisa Evans 1889 Derbyshire
All children's mmn is Redfearn

Hi

You may want to consider changing your subject header to Evans and the first line of your opening post that is the name any death will be registered under - not Redfearn

Morning

Thank you all for your replies  I will try and put this in to some clarification as I could be misleading you
I was looking for Mary Diana Johnson originally so I will put down what I have and maybe we can shed some light on the subject.
Louisa Evans DoB 1845 Hereford   married Charles Tinkling 1860 they had four Children
Charles Abraham 1860
Charles    1863
Aretha matilda 1864
Mary Diana  1866
1867  Charles Tinkling Died
1871 census  shows children in Hereford Workhouse  not sure where Louisa is at this time
1881   Louisa now in Derby with Charles Abraham and calling herself Johnson ?? A widow
I could not find any marriage to a Charles Johnson
Charles Abraham now reverts to his mothers maiden name of Evans ??marriage certificate to Mary Ann Redfearn Marriage 1882 not sure why
1891 census the family is Evans  at sometime Mary Ann passes away and Charles Abraham remarries Emma Salt a widow but gives his surname as Johnson
Here is the stumbling block where is Mary Diana Johnson in 1891
She married Thomas Orgill 1886 in Derby and he died 1888
Mary Diana then appears to marry Theodore Hitchcock 1902 both passed away 1946
I thought that if Mary Ann evans had passed away before 1890  was it Mary Diana that was living with her brother in 1891 census
Hope this all make sense  My Grandmother Lucy Johnson (Evans) that she had a surname change when she was young
I would be most grateful if someone could tell me I have the right people and I have not been chasing the wrong family

Thank you for your time

George
