Birth Date for Emma Louisa Beard.

Hi Oxfordshire!,

I have one Emma Louisa Beard who it would appear was never registered at birth in 1872. (ALL records of her age indicate 1872)

Her mum Louisa Beard did however have her Baptised in 1874... However the actual image of this record does not appear to be available anywhere. So i only have the transcribed reference for it.
She was Born and lived in the Eye and Dunsdun, Shiplake area.
I am hoping that like on many other Baptisms the Date of Birth may have also been noted.
Here are the details of the Baptism.

Is she alive in 1939? 

If so and you can find her on the 1939 register it will show her date of birth.

Did she marry in 1890?  If so the marriage age for her is 19.

Unfortunately not she Died in 1928. had thought of that. lol I have racked my brains. Tried everything I can think of in the GRO register.. she is defiantly Louisa's as we have DNA linking back past Emma.

I have her Marriage Cert and yes 19 on the 11 Oct 1890 which at least tells me she was born before Oct 11. lol

Frustrating isn't it.  I wonder why mum had her baptised in 1874. 

I have one myself whose birth just wasn't registered so it does happen.

Can only assume it was cos it was an illegitimate birth. Sigh. and it was not law until 1874.. at which time you could get a hefty fine for not getting your child registered. also some folks were confused and though that getting a child baptised was enough.. and that WAS registration. So maybe That is why she had her done in 1874? lol

oh good shout Rodgepodge! They just might have it!

Certainly does not help that the area switched back and forth from Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
