Charles can’t have died in NSW in 1941, if he was applying for naturalisation in 1943.

His address 1943 was 14 Barnett St, Fremantle.

Having said that, in the document the daughter’s name is incorrect, as is the wife’s surname, birth year and place of birth.

"Either They Went Or I"
I saw her going out with a boarder. I said either the boarders went, or I went. I went!"
In a few succinct words Charles Hollingworth summed up the break with wife May Irene.
He hadn't approved of the boarders in the first place, he told Mr. Justice Walker, sitting in divorce. He found them installed, paying 15/ board, when he returned from a mining trip in 1933. But his wife had refused to turn them out, or charge them more.
Charles sought and obtained a decree based on 5 years separation from May.

Death of Edward Sunley’s first wife
Group Settlement Chronicle and Margaret-Augusta Mail Tue 10 Mar 1925
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/232728308
OBITUARY.
MRS. MARGARET SUNLEY.
Mrs. Margaret Sunley 33, wife of Edward Sunley, of Group 64, Jarrahdene, passed to rest at the Margaret Hospital on Thursday night last, the 5th inst.
Deceased came from England to this district, little more than six months ago, but soon after settling here, developed a complaint which necessitated her removal to the Margaret Hospital, and in that institution she had been an inmate until her death.
Ill fortune seems to have followed the family's way. About three months ago, Mr. Sunley was a victim
in a blasting accident, and narrowly escaped losing his life. With the unfortunate husband is left an only child of eleven years.
The body was interred in the Catholic portion of the Margaret Cemetery last Saturday, the Rev Father McCormack officiating. Numerous floral tributes were laid upon the grave.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by F. Mead, undertaker, Busselton.

I'm totally confused by all these newspaper reports!
Can someone tell me exactly what happened to the family in simple terms please?
Mary Louise and Charles Oscar were definitely married in 1899 according to the Australia Marriage Index so she wasn't a defacto wife.
I don't understand how Mary Ellen Jackson became May Irene, as her correct birth name, as Mary Ellen was recorded on the Australian Birth Index?
