Can anyone help me find out if I can go back further

Can anyone help me go any further? the  furthest I can go back is john johnson b 1720 ibstock he married
Elizabeth matchett
I would like to find out who john johnsons parents where?
Any help with this would be great thanks

The marriage entry, at Packington, 25 April 1745, only states that John Johnson is of the parish of Ipstock (sic) which means that that was where he was living at that time, not necessarily where he was born - I'm sure you already know this  :-[  And Elizabeth's surname, as written in the register is Matchit (of Packington).


Added:  FindMyPast only have baptisms at Ibstock 1562-1564.

Just a thought:  Was Elizabeth the daughter of John and Mary Matchet of Osgathorpe - baptised 3 June 1723 at Osgathorpe?

I think she was but there was also another Elizabeth matchet from Tamworth im not sure which one she is.
