George Healey/Healy Bromsgrove
« on: Saturday 22 August 20 20:21 BST (UK) »
Is there anyone who would be kind enough to help me out with this please?  It seems there were TWO George Healeys born in and around Bromsgrove around 1828/29.  One of them married Susanna Morgan and he's not the one I'm interested in.  The other one married someone named Marry Ann but I can't see a marriage so I don't know her full name.  In fact neither of them appear anywhere until the 1861 census.  Various Ancestry researchers have decided she was Mary Ann Duggins and give her father as Benjamin Duggins but I can't see he even HAD a daughter called Mary Ann (although he did have an Ann born much later) and I think this just might be one person picking up wrong info and everyone else grabbing it for their own.  Meanwhile there were definitely TWO George Healeys so I'm interesting in finding out more about the more obscure one.  Thanks for any thoughts!

I may have come up with a solution to this.  George Haley married Marianne Webb in Bromsgrove in 1856. The reason this sounds of interest is that Webb was given to one of their children as a middle name.  More to check first though...

Did they have sons William 5 and George 3 in 1861?

If so their birth registrations ** should confirm mothers maiden name was Webb and you have the correct marriage.

** yes they do, both have Webb as mothers name  :)
