WW1 or WW2?

Service records for those serving after 1920 are still with the MOD.

Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Welcome to Rootschat, Sammyc70.

What was his name, and where does that number come from? Was he army, navy, air force? UK or another country? Where and when was he born?

Arthur Webster. Born 1918. Was apparently in merchant navy. At one point based in goza Malta. Around 1952

A Google search throws ups some mentions of Arthur Webster P/KX 96907 in Facebook groups. P/KX 96907 appears to be a Royal Navy service number. As KGarrad says, his records won't be online but you can apply to the Ministry of Defence for a copy: https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records/apply-for-someone-elses-records

See https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/NavalNumbers for an explanation of the P and the K.
