Looking for death and marriage (if Possible) for Helen Ritson, she was born 30 August 1822 in Douglas, in Lanarkshire, her parents were Miles Ratson/Ritson and Marion Gilchrist.


Helen has a Son born out of wed lock at present I cannot find his christian name, but he was born on the 7 January 1847 in Lesmahagow.

It went to Lanarkshire sheriff court Paternity in 1847.  The father was William Thomson of Craighead, Lesmahagow, is occupation was as a Miller.  Helen Ritson daughter of and residing with Miles Ritson (Molecatcher), Highbanks, Lesmahagow.

No Ritson birth in 1847.  No Helen Ritson marriage up to 1854

No 1841 or 1851 entry for that name with her profile

1841 indexed as Batstone and somebody has notified the surname as RATSON

Miles  was a mole catcher -  Helen is shown as Hellen aged 22

1851 surnames is RATSON again.  No Helen.
