O'Connor Brickwall and Irish Genealogy
« on: Monday 24 August 20 20:55 BST (UK) »
I have 3 sisters, Bridget b 2 Apr 1865, Margaret b 5 Mar 1866 and Annie b 10 Jun 1874. All dates are from the 1939 census.
They all say their father was Robert O'Connor when they married, Bridget in Ballinasloe Galway and Margaret and Annie in Athlone.
On the Irish 1911 census Bridget said she was born co Galway and Annie said Limerick city, I can't find Margaret.
I can't seem to find their births or a marriage of a Robert O'Connor, not helped by not really knowing which town or parish to search.
Is there any way to track these people down?

Stu
Starkey, Beaumont, Dunstan, Hogan, Nichol, Nichols, Laycock, Norbron, North, Smith, Connolly,O'Connor, Archer, Copley, Brook, Walker, Stocks, Berry, Swinden, Ambler.

If that is Bridget, Robert is a Dealer

Is this Annie? Robert is deceased in 1897 and was a labourer.

Is this Margaret? Spouse, Joseph Henry

Robert is a labourer

Margaret and Joseph Henry are living in England in 1901 and 1911.

1911 she gives Athlone as her birth place.

Hang on though, they may be the Robert Connor + Hannah (nee Duggan) couple who had a daughter Margaret baptized 18 Sep 1866, Newry.

Civil birth
Hannah O’Connor 4th July 1874, Limerick - parents Robert, a dealer and Hannah (Duggan)
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1874/03132/2148348.pdf

Baptism of Robert O’Connor 28th September 1871 to parents of the same names - Tipperary
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632778#page/36/mode/1up

Baptism of Margaret - parents of the same names 18th September 1866 - Newry
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633289#page/181/mode/1up

Baptism of Patrick, 30th April 1860 Drumcree, Armagh
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632568#page/77/mode/1up

If these are your family, as Robert was described as a Dealer, that is perhaps why they are in various parts of the country. Or, of course, it all might be coincidence.
