Welcome to rootschat, Deedee 79.

Edward Joseph Thorp, born 1887/1889 Walthamstow is in several trees on Ancestry.

The Lambert2 tree has a photo of him, I have not yet checked out the others - leave that for you to do.

I think we need more information on the Thorp family in 1600 with 3 marriages and 19 children -where did that information come from, and how far back have you gone with your known ancestors?

From the tree it would appear that the Thorp family is from London area, and the Kelly family from Ireland, but the Thorp/Kelly children were born in Ireland.

So the 1600 family would also be from Walthamstow, or anywhere in the UK?

Think this could be Edward's birth, there is a marriage of his Father, John Thorpe, widower, to Charlotte Tait, widow, her father's name being Henry Kleboe.

from GRO
Edward Thorp  mmn Keeboe  in December quarter 1887 in West Ham

This birth record would make his birth year stated at death out by a year.

Thank you for all your replies , on Edwards j Thorpe marriage register his address is 41 bath avenue ( before marriage) when married it was 91 Gorden street both in ringsend dublin ireland who is he living with before marriage? What’s he doing in Ireland ie why did he move from England to Ireland ?
Pictures :I know there is a tree there with Edwards picture and his son John Michael Miles Thorp I have made contact with lambert tree he is a cousin to my mother’s cousin , we have asked my mother’s cousin for picture but they seem to be very protected over their pictures , they did not know we existed , my mum was a adopted her mother was Margaret Josephine Thorp my grandmother had my mother in England and went back to Ireland .
I would love to see what she looked like  I have contacted the church no reply as yet it’s been a month , I don’t know which school she attended there must be a picture of her somewhere I hope !

In 1911 there is a Michael Malone living at 41.2 Bath Ave, he is a motorman with the DWT.Co transcribed as DWY but I think it could be Dublin ? Transport company, perhaps Edward got work with the same company.
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000122069/

Just using Pembroke West in the DED and motor in the occupation in 1911 there are 95 results of men with various jobs involving the motor industry, DWT or DUT company features for other men also.

It's part of the Docks area of Dublin so transport companies would be necessary.
