Llanblethian was in the Registration District of Bridgend.

See: https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/bridgend.html
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

You can use the link below to check for any entries you find without an age between 1862-1865 to help eliminate others - see further reply below

Well done Carole, if that is him and his wife then the death in 1870 (79) is quiet a good contender!

Thanks for your help, I have tried the GRO but not knowing what district it came under I was not sure.  This David Lewis was born in 1792 in St Mary Hill I have his baptism record, he married Amy Sant in 1826 at Holy Cross in Cowbridge in lived in Llanblethian on 1851 & 1861 census but by 1871 Amy was  a widow living with her daughter Amy in Llanblethian so I presumed he dies between 1861 & 1871 in Llanblethian
