Eunince Gildersleeve baptism
« on: Sunday 30 August 20 13:00 BST (UK) »
I am trying to locate the baptism of Eunince Gildersleeve, what I do know if she married in 1733 in Trimley St Martin to Thomas Starkes. I know there are Gildersleeve;s in around Trimey but I just can't find Eunice.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Alan

I hadn't actually got that, not sure how I missed it so many thanks for letting me know of her baptism.

Alan

I don't see her baptism either, but perhaps Eunice was related to Unice Gildersleeve, a widow buried at Copdock in 1737. Also buried there were John Gildersleeve in 1705, William (son of Ann) Gildersleeve in 1728 and Abigail Gildersleeve in 1765. No ages were recorded, so it's not apparent whether Abigail was the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Goldersleev who was christened at Ipswich St Nicholas in 1699 (FamilySearch).

As you probably know, the Suffolk FHS has transcribed the baptisms of these children of Thomas and Eunice at Trimley St Martin:

1735/36 Thomas Spark
1740 Mary Starks
1741/42 Susan Starks

That possible Copdock entry looks interesting, I had seen the Starkes ones though.

Thanks David.
