There is Elizabeth Cannon born 4th qtr 1860 Manchester mmn Troy.  ;D

On GRO she is just Elizabeth but on FreeBMD she is Elizabeth Ann.

But she isn't on the 1871 census with the Canning family.  ???

The age at death of the William Cannon doesn't match that of William Canning in 1871 (although it depends what the informant knows).

There is a Find a Grave entry for the William Cannon who died 30 Oct 1872 - he is buried in the Roman Catholic section of Philips Park Cemetery in Manchester.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

The death occurred in the Market Street area of Manchester (according to LancsBMD) but then deaths have to be registered in the exact area so maybe explains why it wasn't registered in Chorlton. I suppose 4-5 years discrepancy isn't too much.  ???
