Neal, John and Tim Gallagher - What was their father's name?
« on: Thursday 03 September 20 10:08 BST (UK) »
I believe an earlier generation of my Gallagher line (of which I was previously unaware ) emigrated to USA in 1850/1860s.
They were Neal (Neil), John and Tim(othy) Gallagher. They settled in Oakland, California via Philadelphia. Because the surname is so common I need to establish their father's forename before I investigate them further. I have been unable to establish their father's name and would appreciate help in doing so.
John and Tim remained unmarried, but Neal Married Elizabeth Crosson on Sept 11th 1876 and had 8 children.
Neal died August 23rd 1925.
Tim died June 29th 1899.
Not sure when John died but he was still alive in 1900 as he appears on the 1900 census living with Neal and his family.
All 3 brothers seem to have lived their entire (Californian) lives in one street, namely Telegraph Avenue, Oakland.
Here's hoping someone can find their father's forename.

Thanks.

Thanks RJ. John Gallagher had 5 brothers, Tim and Neal in Oakland, California and 3 others back in Ireland but unfortunately none of them were called Patrick, so not 'my' John.

Regards.
Paul.
