PDF GRO certs
« on: Thursday 03 September 20 14:52 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have always in the past ordered the original gro certificates for BMD's. Does the PDF version whilst cheaper give ALL the information shown on the original entry.

Thanks,

John

Yes! ;D

But it's not termed a "Certificate" and cannot be used for legal purposes.

It is identical to the certificate you would get, it is just not printed onto the appropriate template
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Guy has examples of the "uncertified" copies on his website. There are examples of various types of documents on each page so you'll need to scroll down a bit to see the "uncertified" copies (birth: 1874, death: 1955).

Example Baptism & Birth Certificates

Example Burial & Death Certificates
