1911 Census
« on: Friday 04 September 20 20:55 BST (UK) »
Looking to find out if Pierce Kennedy was in Scotland on the 1911 census.
He was born in Dublin 1871 and at the time of his wedding in 1912, Dublin, he had an address of 45 Cardwell Road, Gourock.

Thank You

Thank you very much.
We think he was in the military so are trying to piece together his whereabouts before his 1912 wedding. Thanks again

Would this be him here? www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V5CL-SPH

Have you looked at these papers? If correct, they might include his movements around that time.

The database on Ancestry shows access is only available online via the Fold3 subscription. They have:

Pierce Kennedy
born abt 1871 in Sandyford Dublin
1891
Royal Artillery

These papers can also be viewed in person at the National Archives at Kew (not sure on access at present though).

Thank you Monica.

We looked at them earlier on. We can't confirm its him. We think his sisters name is different than the one on the records.

Appreciate the reply

Just a thought. Could this be Pierce in Ireland for the 1911 census? http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Mansion_House/Cuffe_Street/99678/

Age out 4 years but this can happen.

No way to confirm though. Was there any other Pierce Kennedy born in Dublin in this time frame?
