Thank you for that map reference, Istrice
I have tended to use the whole country map provided by archiuk which is a composite produced from the slightly later OS series of 1888 to 1900. What surprised me most was the amount of urban sprawl which had taken place in that area over those few short years. The area along  Berners Street to the west of Maynard Street right up to Spinney Hill Park is built up and that area of the brickyard and the ponds has completely disappeared.
