Trying to find out about Ann Ryle, sister of James Catnach, ballad-printer, who is thought to have lived in Portsea.  Can anyone help?

The Morning Post, Jan 14 1845, has the following marriage notice:

"On the 13th inst. at St. Ann's Soho, Mr. Robert P. Harding of Cornhill to Marion M. Ryle, only child of Mr. Joseph Ryle, deceased, of Calcutta, and niece of the late James Catnach of Dancer's Hill, South Mimms."

According to this article (reviewing a book written about James) James and his 6 siblings were all baptised at St Michael's Alnwick. James was born 18 August 1792, his parents John (of Burnt Island Fifeshire) and Mary Hutchinson (of Dundee).

"James Catnach, Balladmonger"
Newcastle Courant, Friday,  May 23, 1879

Modified to add:
In the continuing article May 30, 1879, it does say James left his printing business on his retirement to his "Mrs Ann Ryle, his niece, chargeable with £1,000, to be paid to Marion Ryle, another niece, after his death."
I don't think the author of the article is correct in stating Ann was James' niece, though I haven't found her baptism yet.

You may already have this info?

On the marriage cert for Marion Martha RYLE married Robert Palmer HARDING in 1845, her father Joseph's profession is  (I think) Captain in Bengal Service  :-\ I've attached a snip so you can see:

There are also several newspaper reports in 1852 of William HARRINGTON convicted of stealing from his employer, Mrs Ann RYLE, printer in Monmouth Court, Seven Dials. It's quite a long article, I could transcribe it if you don't have access.
