Ellen SMITH PARRY b Birkenhead 1861 , d.1954 how old is she in these picture

I would like an approximate idea of how old Ellen SMITH was in this photo ...I wonder if it was for a special occaision .

Her face seems to have deteriorated on one side I dont know if it can be touched up

Ellen married first husband Thomas LATHAM 1902 (she brought up children from his first wife )
He died 1913 ,she married Griffith PARRY in 1921 he died 1933

It is difficult to tell her age due to the condition of the photo. She may be 25 to 35 yrs.
I can’t see if she is wearing a wedding ring.
When was she born?

Is the hand behind her back symbolic ?

Does the dress style indicate a year ?

Her father was a market gardener or fishmonger depending on census
Most other family photos arent as well dressed

 in 1881 she was a dressmaker

,*It says Alfred road on back which is also her sister & neices ,& nephews address in 1939 plus her other sister
They may all have been living there or just visiting.address

The first photo looks to me like early 1890s.

    A quickie Her hand doesn't look natural to me, but if it's an actual pic it might
 
     be the lens on the photographers camera

I agree Tomkin.it looks very large
I know wide feet ran in the family on the Smith side and her father had a "leg".which didnt need a fitted shoe but whether from an accident or deformity.I dont know .

A dressmaker would surely need deft hands
