There is also on the other post a reference to a newspaper article implying that Mrs Hughes and the child were both from Mold - https://newspapers.library.wales/view/3602895/3602903/105/

OK, I hadn't seen the later news report.

Hello ,I might of found the grave of Thomas in Mold cemetery it states of Mold & Cape Town  he died 08/03/1919 in Denbigh North Wales ,now according to probate he left to Harriett Emily Hughes widow who lived in Barnes Surrey. The only Mr & Mrs T Hughes(Welsh ones)  coming from Cape Town was in 1911 on the Kinfauns Castle ship ,Sounds like Thomas remarried any Ideas when? :-\
Thanks
