Morning All

Looking for info on Walter Wren

Lance Corporal Walter Wren 4455553

Enlisted / was in  Durham Light Infantry,
transferred to Black Watch on 1/2/1940,
transferred to 30th Btn Gordon Highlanders on 18/5/42,
KILLED in ACTION 21/04/43 with 30th Bn In Aberdeen during the Aberdeen Blitz


Home address Research suggests that Pte Wren was born in Gateshead in 1903,
father John Thomas, mother Eliza Ann (nee Fuller) and that he married Mary E Harrison in 1924. In 1943 they stayed at 51 Taylor Terrace, Gateshead.

Buried at Gateshead East Cemetery.

Looking for addresses, dates , Family to Mary, or any other info?

Do you have access to Ancestry?  There are a number of family trees that list children etc

Had a look, but info I have is about same.

e.g. know he was born July 1903, doesn't give date

One of the trees does list children and there is a photo if that helps

What's the best way to find out Walter's occupation when Daughters were born?

Scotland's People - Easy, not too sure about English equivilients?

Birth certificates which you could order from the General Record Office https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/menu.asp  or you could try contacting one of the tree owners - particularly ones with photographs who may be closely related
