This seems to be the daughter's birth index.

    Name:                     Mother's Maiden Surname:
WILSON, ROSIE  MAY             WOODBRIDGE
GRO Reference: 1895  M Quarter in MARYLEBONE  Volume 01A  Page 575

And her marriage....

Marriages Jun 1915

Chudleigh    Cuthbert A E   to  Wilson    Wareham    5a   805

Wilson    Rosalie M   to Chudleigh    Wareham    5a   805

Parents marriage...

Marriages Jun 1891

Wilson    James        Pancras    1b   233
Woodbridge    Alice        Pancras    1b   233

That's fantastic, thank you. Is Pancras St Pancras in London? If so, rather ironic as I lived for a time behind St Pancras New Church. A part of my is slightly disappointed not to have revealed a gypsy heritage though.

Thank you so much. I'm very new to all this, so I apologize for posting in the wrong place and not knowing how it all works. I haven't been able to access the Family Search links (still waiting for my verification code to come through to my mobile). Also, I'm confused by "S, M and D quarter".

It is wonderful to have Rosie May's siblings and I shall try to track them and their descendants down. I wonder what lasting affects being separated had on them and their families.

So far I have:

James Wilson b. 1860
Alice Woodbridge b. 1864                married June 1891 St Pancreas when they were 31 and 27 (which seems quite late for the time so I wonder if it wasn't their first marriage).

James Roland b. 18 Nov 1891 (so conceived out of wedlock!) d. March 1971
Rowland b 1893
Laurence b. 1894
Rosie May b. 1895
Daniel b. 1897 d. 1898 (or was it another Daniel b 1898?)

I do remember the Isle of Wight being mentioned by my grandmother (in addition to the family tree which is my profile pic) but I wonder how or if I can confirm the gypsy heritage.

As so many of us are on Rootschat it is best to only post in one place,if you do it in more than that then we will double up on our replies and efforts and you may miss an important response.

The registers are done in 1/4's throughout the year,so if a birth ,marriage or death occured during Jan, Feb or March it would show in the M (March) 1/4 and so on.

Do you have the 1891 marriage cert?  Who were their respective fathers and what were their occupations?

What occupation is shown for James?

The marriage cert would show them as widowed if either was previously married in which case Alice’s father would have a different surname than Woodbridge

In your opening post you say James was born Herts.  Where did you get that info from?

Unfortunately the marriage cert does not appear to be available online

Just found a tree on Ancestry showing his parents as John & Charlotte & hers as John Woodbridge & Mary Ann Holliday.  It shows James b St Pancras & Alice b St Giles

There doesn’t appear to be much in the way of verification of any of the info in the tree.  No marriage cert to verify fathers names and no census entries post marriage but they do have the marriage date as 2.4.1891

No death dates on tree for either James or Alice

That's what I came up with on the other thread Carole.
Confirmed on the 1891 census.
