Hugh Cannon Died Omagh area 26th January 1969

I have been researching my Grandmother's family, the Cannon family, from Lettermacaward, County Donegal for some time. She had 10 brothers. I have gathered  information on all but one brother, Hugh Cannon, born in 1890. I have come across a family document from the 1970s which says Hugh ,(deceased by then), lived in Northern Ireland. The Hugh Cannon who died in Omagh district in 1969 was aged 78, which ties in with a birth year of 1890. I was wondering if anyone can turn up a death notice ,obituary, etc on this Hugh Cannon which would indicate if he was originally from Lettermacaward in Donegal and would therefore be 'my' Hugh Cannon.

Not specifically an answer to your question but  many Cannon emigrated to Utah. However those who did probably all came from the Isle of Man.

A Hugh Cannon married a Hannah Duffy in Greenock, Renfrew on 4 July 1925, his parents given as John Cannon (farmer) and Shielah Cannon m.s. McHugh.

Thanks gaffy. That certainly looks like the Hugh Cannon I am interested in. His parents were indeed John Cannon and Sheila(Sisley) McHugh. It also ties in with the death notice Sinann reproduced stating Hugh's wife was called Hannah. They must have married in Scotland and moved back to Northern Ireland. Thanks again.
