Coyle/McKenna 1800’s
« on: Friday 18 September 20 15:16 BST (UK) »
Looking for information about the parents of Patrick Coyle (1840-1899) & Catherine McKenna (1844-1904), my 2 x great grandparents. Patrick & Catherine were married in 1866 at St Patrick’s RC church in Sunderland UK. According to marriage certificate both their fathers were named James & both were dock labourers. Patrick’s father is shown as decd. James McKenna was born around 1811 & his wife was called Mary according to the UK 1861 census. It appears that Patrick met the Mckenna’s on a boat from Ireland to Ayr in Scotland & they eventually ended up in Sunderland. Bit of along shot but any info would be great. Thank you

Do you  have Patrick's death record from 1899 which may give a more exact location in Ireland or have you found any records that provides that info?
