Marraige cert for John Grogan/ Annie healy dublin 1922
« on: Saturday 19 September 20 23:52 BST (UK) »
I  have searched without any joy for a marraige cery fir my uncle

John grogan to Annie Healy. Between the date Jan 1st 1922 and 1 Apr 1923.

I rang some churches in the area I think he was living and they told me
That they have no records before 1978 and referred me to the Cathedral

The cathedral referred me back to the individual churches ..

Is there anybody outthere that could give me some guidence .
As I am running out of ideas on how to approach this search

Thank you in advance fir taking time to reply
But this search is a family mystery for all these years and it would be
Something very extra ordinary and incredible to solve.

I am not very familiar with some of these heretics sites.

Thank you :-\

It was a fairly turbulent time in Dublin perhaps the marriage wasn't registered.

How firm is Dublin as the location? For example, 'FreeBMD' shows a marriage for a John Grogan and Mary A Healey registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1922 at Manchester, England.

Did they have any children soon after marriage?

If so their birthplace(s) might be helpful.  If they were born in Dublin or Manchester for example.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Hi, here is the website search facility (link below), but be aware that 'FreeBMD' is just an index of records transcribed from the General Register Office index for England & Wales, the records themselves aren't available to view on the website, so you will see no more than the basic index information that I saw:

https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

If you think that the Manchester marriage is a possibility, then I defer to others to advise you on how best to pursue finding out the content of that marriage record, for I'm not knowledgeable in this area... hopefully someone knowledgeable in this area will post anon.  :)

I have the birth dates and more detailed information

Could you give us the birth dates for John & Mary Ann we maybe able to locate them on the 1939 Register (if found we cannot post details of the 1939 Register but could point you in the right direction) also it may be helpful in locating their death entries.

Deleted ER as not sure they were the right couple
