William Came Baptism 1811/12 Look Up
« on: Sunday 20 September 20 12:34 BST (UK) »
Hi. I'm trying to find William CAME's baptism to find out his mother's name. He was baptised around 1811/12 in Newton Abbott, Devon and his father's name is James CAME.

Any help is much appreciated.

Try freereg and opc in the first instance, together with familysearch.
Presumably the father's name came from a later marriage?
Was there a stated occupation to go with the record?
When/where/with whom did the marraige take place, and what names witness?

Is this relevant to a previous topic of yours, or is this someone with a similar name?
William Winsor/Winser Came vs William Came?

So did Ann have the Maria name on the 1811 records?

Er, yes. Transcription will say Ann Marie on William's baptism?
Let's wait for more details from someone in the know.

William Winsor Came baptism date is 17 November 1811 - image available on FindMyPast.

Marriage - 27 June 1811 - both signed the register.

Thank you for the replies.

I got the father's name from his second marriage in 1854 and he is also living with his father on the 1861 census.

His father James CAME also married a second time. Now I know the mother's name and why her maiden name WINSOR has been given to a lot of descendants middle names, as I guess she must have died young.

Can someone help me find info on her death please?

When /where/to whom  was James Came's second marriage?
When you ask a question, include more information.
Why on earth didn't you give the middle name in the original request (for instance)
