Parents of Elizabeth White

Elizabeth White was born in 1926 to Mr White and Mrs White (maiden surname Logan), I am trying to find the marriage certificate and names of Elizabeths parents. Elizabeth married Charles Forbes Armour in 1952. He was born in 1921. Elizabeth and Charles probably had a few children I only know one who is living. Elizabeth died in 1980 aged 54 in Ayr. I haven't found her birth record as there are a lot of Elizabeth Whites born in 1925/1926. Charles died in Kilmarnock in 2019 aged 98. Charles parents were Charles Walker Armour 1888-1953 and Elsie Ewen Murdoch 1890-1968.

Any help would be appreciated on Elizabeths parents.

Did they have a daughter born in Irvine, 1954, with Logan as middle name?

Think that will be from the 1980 death , mother's maiden surname is indexed from 1974 onwards on Scotlandspeople.

The only way you are going to get proof positive of who Elizabeth's parents were is by ordering her marriage or death certificate from scotlandspeople. Neither is available to view online because marriage certificates are only available after 75 years and death after 50 years. The cost is around £15 each including postage. If it were me I would go for the marriage one first as the information contained in them is only as good as the informant's knowledge.

There is a marriage in 1916 which may or may not be for her parents  -  Archibald White to Elizabeth Logan, Blythswood, Glasgow  Ref 644/10 11.

The only living daughter of them I have is a female with the middle name White. I might try and order her marriage but I don't think I can due to covid-19.

The latest information from NRS says briefly - Customers can now order certificates but only online. Checked the cost and it is £12.00 per certificate plus postage.
