Alan, just seen there is an online tree for this line on Ancestry. Son Archibald's dates on this are given as:

Birth 11 OCT 1926 Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Death DEC 2005 Stroud, Gloucestershire, England

No mention of a daughter Isabel, but there is mention of a son Edward:

Birth 5 MAR 1925 • Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Death 28 JUN 1979 • Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

From this, Stanley looks to have died a few months before his father? His death is also listed on the British Columbia, Canada, Death Index, 1872-1990

Doesn't look to be it seems. Stanley's wife was a Margaret Findlay (1928 -1978).

Where does the reference to an Isobel come in, Alan? In what context?

Added: Son Archibald Jnr married a Peggy M Pegler in England in 1954.

"at the home of his son in law ##address in Vancouver## on September the 26th  1979. Archibald Simpson dear father of Isabel and Archibald, Sadly missed"

No idea.

Appears Edward ,Archibald (jnr) and Stanly all are.  Unsure about Isabella, in which case she may be in Vancouver aged around 92

The aim is to account for the children they had, 3 or 4.  Don't plan to detail names unless I can check all deceased.
