Catholic Bournemouth
« on: Monday 21 September 20 20:15 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone more familiar with the Bournemouth area can help me?
I'm researching a man with the surname Landi, originally from Italy, who died in 1964, in the Royal Victoria Hospital. He was Catholic and his home address was 32 Stirling Road - could anyone tell me which church he may have belonged to? I'd like to find burial records or a gravestone if possible.
Thanks,
Lorna

Are you sure he was buried rather than cremated?

My sense would be that as a Catholic he would be buried? I may be wrong.

He left  a will which you can download for £1.50 and may contain instructions for his funeral

I don't, and it's likely they are together. Both were born in Italy, so I also wonder if they might have been buried back there. Don't know if that kind of repatriation would have been done at that time?
