Good evening,

The rule of 30 for funerals doesn't always apply. That is the max allowed but it is governed by the size of the venue.

At my brothers funeral 2 weeks ago we were only allowed 18. We managed 17 but only because several of his carers wanted to come. The chairs were all laid out 2mtrs apart.

A friend buried her husband during lockdown and we wer'nt even allowed inside the church. But we  were allowed more than 30, socially distant, outside in the graveyard.

At my cousins funeral last fri we had 30 but the seating at that chapel was different. Every other row cordoned off and use every other chair in the remaing rows. So only about 2ft apart.

I just go with the flow and whatever OH says we do.

P.S. to Sandra's opening post.
A joke on last night's edition of "Mock the Week". Advertising slogans you won't see or hear: "We deliver each turkey to you in a wooden box so that you can invite up to 30 people to your house at Christmas ."

Will Trystan and Sarah quarantine the Santa's   :)

Nicola Sturgeon today designated Santa as a key worker.  ;D That applies only in Scotland.

Good evening,

OH and me were put in lockdown by junior and daughter the week before the rest of the country. Since then it's been a bit up and down. When restrictions were relaxed a little we were allowed to visit daughter and the demolition gang. But we had to go in the back gate and sit at the picnic table while they all sat by the house.

Then they came to us for sunday dinners as usual. But not for long, oldest member of the D gang had been schooling on line but then had to go back to school.

Msg came, "Linus says he's afraid of bringing something home and you will catch it". Answer, I cooked sunday dinner, packed it in a hot box and delivered it to there door and stood well back.

Then no2 member came home from school, someone (not in his year bubble) had covid. He banned us from coming to their house.

Things got a little better and I can now take Linus to his karate lesson but have to sit out in the car. He wont let me go into the leisure centre. But...... all good things end, saturday he told daughter he had a headache and food didn't taste right. So this morning he went for a covid test at 10am, we are now banned again.

Thursday OH came down with bronchitis again, took until sat to convince 111 that was the correct diagnosis. Medication prescribed and.... go and get a covid test just to be on the safe side. So we were also at the test centre, at 10am. Oddly, for a place that was nearly deserted we never saw them but it is a huge car park.

So we now have to isolate until her test result comes back which is a nuisance.

Mon, D gang member no2, Gabriel is 13 so how do we get his presents to him.
Tue, juniors stepson Maximus is 11, how to get his presents to him.
Wed, our good friend Sue (maker of memory bears) will be 50 something. How to get the presents to her plus we are supposed to be going for dinner with them.

If we are locked down in Nov it's my big 70, presents not a problem. I've said make donations to the poppy appeal in lieu of.

So all in all, Christmas is just looking normal as things go.
