Nothing substantial though to say he might be the Arthur with Edith in 1911.

1911 Census shows Arthur and Edith living with Harry

1901 Arthur in digs in St Pancras  Place of birth is written N.K. (Not Known?)

Electoral roll Arthur Herbert Douglas St Pancras Camden   I'll check more and then deaths

Did you find any Electoral Roll entries for your Arthur Douglas?

Have you tried the address they were living at in 1911?

Reply #29"My question was to find a marriage between an Arthur Douglas and Edith ?
The 1911 Census shows Arthur and Edith living with Harry Bird - nephew in St Pancras London  I used the surname Bird to see if that would help.  Hope this helps"

Census forms are not exact, for a number of reasons.
Being (in/un)able to read/write/calc birthdays,
Hiding legitimacy of birth ( theirs/others )
Getting others to complete the forms.etc., etc..

There are 3/4 "Edith S Bird" marrying "Arthur Douglas" in the correct timescale.
Try Edith Sarah to match marriage to Arthur Douglas? 1899 ?

People change the order of their forenames, (what they are known by and nicknames) , again, for a number of reasons.
Their PREVIOUS history being one of them.
A "27" y-old with a "15" y-old at any point in time.
She could have given her DoB to someone and THEY made a/the mistake.

Thanks Ladyhawk.  Still working through earlier information you sent!  Have eliminated a few families who were possible parents of Harry Bird
1911 Census address is 4 Rochester Square  I can find no electoral rolls (1900 onwards for Arthur Douglas or Edith
Thanks for all this research

It would be helpful to know the reasons for your eliminations.

What do you know that you haven't told us?

Ok Thanks Ray  Yes, it can be very unreliable, I know, but that's all the information that was given to me.  Very scant but worth a go!

All I know is what's written on the 1911 Census and no more.  It would have been a lot easier if I'd known Arthur's parents, Edith's maiden name, where they were married etc etc but, unfortunately, I don't  :(
