Hi all

I want to thank you all so much for helping me find my Joseph.  Through something I already had which matched the advice I got on here, I've now confirmed that the 1870 Joseph IS MY Joseph!

Heaven knows why he put a different DOB on his Merchant Navy records.  Maybe he just didn't know his DOB, but I'm leaning more towards the fact that he was  bit of a 'lad', and for whatever reason, he didn't want people to know.

I've been looking for him for SO long, and have given up many times.  I was always only guessing that the Joesphs I found with different birthdates, might have been the same man.

But now I have concrete evidence, and I'm SOOOO happy!

Now I can carry on and go further back, and maybe try and find more of my family.  I hope it's easier from here on in!

Thanks again to everyone - you're all stars!!!
