Thanks everyone for the multitude of replies, 4 pages worth and all gripping stuff that allowed me to pursue more leads the UK end.  I have managed now to incorporate all the information in my tree.  The 1921 census of Daniel Thomas was particularly helpful as it showed his sisters Margaret Richardson and Mary Ann MacDonald with their husbands and children right next-door.  Obviously more questions will arise over the coming weeks and I may post them up on this thread; but I am impressed by the longevity of some of the Kelly women, right up to the 100s.
One pressing question, the Mary Ann Kelly (Mrs Morgan Patrick Kelly), née Kearney to whom her daughter-in-law Ellen Kelly entertained to tea in 1955 as reported in the Toronto Star, when did she die?  She was born c.1864.
Nora Kelly, I think was not the Nora who married Carney.  My Nora was Nora Agnes, birth registered June quarter 1900 and aged 10 months in the UK 1901 census and 10 in 1911.  I can't think of a reason to make herself older.  So it is the McGhee route that may solve this.  She was definitely Kelly on emigration in 1919 so she must have married in Canada.
John Kelly born 1893 seems to have gone off the map, which means he maybe died in WW1.  Son of Mary Ann and Morgan Patrick, he emigrated with his brother Daniel Thomas to Orillia in 1913.  Daniel's obituary says John pre-deceased him.  Interesting that the name David is still associated with Daniel Thomas because his baptism on 2 Nov 1892 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel & Joseph, Battersea Park has him as David Thomas, which I thought of as pure error on the part of the church warden.
Thanks again, RH
