William Ingram
Baptism: 1 Mar 1780
Place: Llanerfyl, Montgomeryshire
Parents: John and Elizabeth

David

P.S. Although this appears in a transcription, when I looked at the image it said - William, the illegitimate child of John Robert and Elizabeth.

The previous record was of Gwen, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Ingram. It sounds as if the transcription of William is an error.

Sorry, I added a P.S. just as you replied which casts doubt on the record.

Hello, This may be of interest.

26th of January 1798  ( and also 30th Jan. Possibly birth and  Baptism dates )
William
Illegitimate son of William Jones of Llanfair
and Ann Ingram otp - Llanerfyl.
Best wishes on your research.

The William mentioned by Lleucu seems to be the only one in Llanerfyl, although I think it was 1799 rather than 1798.

I may have confused the issue with my previous post. There are two transcriptions for the William baptised on 1st March 1780. The correct one, which is not connected to the image, is William Robert, the illegitimate son of John Robert and Elizabeth Jones. The incorrect transcription of Ingram, is combined with the image, but there is no mention of that name on it.

Familysearch only has has the incorrect transcription, with a link to the image. The surname of Jones is written above Elizabeth.
