silas mcmartin and irma Acker dna

I'm posting this topic to help a DNA match J find origin of her adopted  grandfather .

It may be a case.where ethnicity can help .

Transferred to.dna board as think it will take your expert help.

Mutual dna match = J

Her origins are mostly Swedish and my aunt is mostly Scottish

*Their shared matches have a common denominator of the above couple
Silas MCMARTIN b 1899   USA & irma AKER b 1900

Both had parents from Ontario who I suppose may have had Scottish origins.
I don't know how my aunt and I connect to this couple

Regarding DNA of my aunt b 1927 highest match with a McMartin is 43cm
To   a grandaughter of the above couple.... all other people on that matches tree are private

Irma lived in michagan USA 1926 died 1987 wells Delta county michagan

One child private

another match (also  grandchild of irma and silas )gives their  son as
 Charles Mcmartin sr b1925 d 2012

 gives a sister of Silas jr
Betty Jane 1923-2011

The shared matches adopted grandfather was b 1945 so  he could be a child of Charles or Betty Jane if her DNA match is high enough to these mcmartins ( she matches my aunt by 28cm so maybe 2nd cousin twice removed .. but I don't know where the link between Scotland Canada USA  could be )

I ll leave it to her to message the two people who have trees that might be second cousins or half siblings of her adopted grandfather .

But hopefully when link is established I may be closer to knowing which.of.my ancestors left Scotland to go to USA via Canada and hooked up with some distant mcmartins

Also did a name search in DNA matches .no JEnkin or  ACKER

+ McMartin  large trees with small cm DNA match
Led me to a 12cm match
 Mary mcmartin b1777 in lochiel glengarry is that Canada she  married John Campbell from killin Scotland probably not significant

+14cm
Peter mcmartin 1807 Perth Scotland m Elizabeth Anderson no obvious connection s to Canada
Thats a lot of dots to join up to find how mmartins link to macdermids

Meanwhile have also seen trees linked to Charles Mcmartin s son
Name easy to work out and to a  grandchild of Betty Jane ..(whose married name began with F)
