If my theory is correct Betty Jane s married name was Finkel died 2011

Update:  the match with adopted grandfather has a 53 cm across 4 segments ,,to a supposed grandchild of Silas
McMartin

 which suggests to me a more distant relation

So we.ll have to look at Silas siblings and uncles for a connection to the grandfather .

I think I have found enough info to satisfy my curiosity - Irish & Scottish on my fathers side and pure Liverpudlian on my mothers side 

My only regret is not being able to determine who my paternal g/g/grandparents were because of the problem with Irish records that far back.  If I had found their names I would have left it there.  I do have one name as she moved to Liverpool with them so will have to be satisfied with that

But J tells me she has a stronger link ."V"  115cm 4 segments to another daughter of Betty jean mcmartin ....father of Betty is private and mother given as gladys garette 1891

So if the connection is thru 3 generations of half siblings

Betty jean  mother of V has father who is   great  grandfather of J

But I suspect a big generational difference J must be young if her grandfather was born 1945
