Add colour to John Phelan

Could some kind member put colour to John Phelan who was in the early Irish Army.

Here's one from me, he was a very handsome young man  I didn't know what to do with his cap badge, I couldn't find anything like it in Google images so if you want anything changing please let me know.
edit : one with a normal peaked cap too

  Can you tell us the date, what regiment he was in etc for those of us who are ignorant of

    such matters? It could help in getting the colours somewhere near. :D :D :D

Some Irish soldiers wore green uniforms I wondered whether to make his green. Could the photo have been taken on St Patricks day and he has added a bunch of shamrock?  ;D ;D

Iria they are crossed rifles on his collar,  as worn by the Irish Defence Force/ Irish Infantry Force. They are known as 'Coisite' badges as this is the word on the banner between the rifles. As far as I can gather Coisite is Irish for Infantry.
