Sandra

Where did you find this on the Ancestry site. I`m with them and have cancelled my subscription.
I have used the discount before but am wondering why I can`t see it.
My account is still there as a registered guest.
Do I have to make a new account perhaps.

As far as I can tell, the link does not work UNLESS you are signed into an expired account (which shows you as a registered guest)

As long as your sub has lapsed (not just set to NOT auto renew, but actually past the end date of a sub), log in to your Ancestry account, look at your details  and it shows you are a registered guest.
Then click on the link posted in here

You will get the discount page, choose whether you want uk or world wide and  click to proceed.

When I did this a couple of weeks ago, it brought up a page with my details already completed (name, address, card details etc) I had to put in a new card as the one that was previously used has expired.
click , click and pay :-)

Yes, that's what's happened with me, I 've just renewed with the discount and as you say all my previous details are there.

How would this work for someone who has never previously subscribed to Ancestry.

The purpose of the offer is for 'new subscribers' i.e. "someone who has never previously subscribed to Ancestry"  ;)

"*Offer available for new subscribers only and not for renewal of current subscriptions. After the initial 12 months, your membership will automatically renew at our standard prices for your chosen membership."

Do remember to unsubscribe from the automatic renewal.
