The two arches possibly go into a porch?

What is on the inset stone?

Can you scan this part of the image, from the original photo at 300/400 to 600 dpi?

Mark

There appears to be 2 plaques on the wall between the two arches, they could have something engraved on them, or maybe just ornamental.  Can you get a better scan of them Carol.

It feels familiar to me

Carol, surely it's perfectly obvious that it's 'Cazza's House' before it was 'remodelled'  ;D https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=727464.msg5719123#msg5719123

It has an ‘Arts and Craft’ period feel about it.
Similar to Blackwell in the Lake District.

Or are they the sloping top of a buttress? A zoomed-in scan would probably clarify.
