West Yorks; ---- Illingworth, Marshall, Muffit/Muffett/Murfitt, Barber, Sanderson, Townend, Barraclough, Lister -- and lots more. Locations mainly in Birstall parish - Hartshead-- Drighlington --Adwalton --Mirfield - Heckmondwike --Kippax - Sherburn in Elmet.

Ireland ------Cleary, Whelan - Nenagh.
Dowling - Monasterevin
Daly - Westmeath

Lancashire ---- Smith from Alston , Johnson and Fairclough---- Tarleton and loads more from Tarleton and Accrington areas.

I live in Speke so it is easy for me - it is very possible there are modern day family as well - I have posted on Speke Past and Present site and may have a possible 4 descendants - waiting for confirmation  :)

Thank You So Garsonite for all your help 💓 That's is what I was looking for I will post some records on that facebook site you've sent me. Once again thank you for your time and helping me with my search on the Stockton family. I will definitely call up there or maybe write what do you think?. x

On another post that Chippy started about 'Poston' someone gave the information:

'William Stockton Poston b.1826 was my Great Grandad, brother to Joseph b.1831

About 20 trees on Ancestry, with Stockton as William Stockton Poston's mmn.  A Joseph Stockton on a tree is born 1744 and another in 1782 in the correct area etc etc.
