Aston Family Romsey & Winchester area

Hi

I am in a bit of a muddle ..I am trying to find more information regarding the Aston family.

Unless I am on a dead end or have been tracing the wrong family?

The family had a daughter birth in Romsey in 1948.  Parents John Thomas Aston & Phyllis Rosina Aston nee Hicks DOB Dec 1919 Devonport they married St Philip,Westmill Devon Jul 1946.

I believe Mr Aston possibly worked/ owned a garage in Winchester, what is confusing he may have been know as James ? As you can see I am fairly confused.

Any help will be gratefully relieved

I was just linking the other post so that others knew what was being looked at.

As for Mr James if you look at freebmd you will see that there was an Aston/Hicks marriage in Hampshire that could fit him

Perhaps you need the birth certificate of the person you are researching to identify their parents
