wonder if anyone can advise on this please.
re Napoleonic War Records 1775 - 1817
i have an enlistment for a Thomas Pritchard. Feb 1807 in Hereford-Ref R203,page 112.place Laintowens.
is there any way from here to find where Thomas was born please.

I'm not sure about the source of that reference but there is a discharge record for a Sergeant Thomas Pritchard born circa 1774 at Saint Owens, Hereford. Joined the Hereford militia in 1793 and was discharged in 1816.

thank you. i found the records on f.m.p. could be him but not sure.does it happen to say where he was discharges "long shot" in know. thank you for looking.
i have a thomas pritchard born 1808 in chirk and his brother george in 1814. and think the gap between "not other births"is because he was in the militia or army. so wonder could he have originated in Herefordshire and then lived in Denbighshire.

That link takes you to his discharge papers at the National Archives in Kew.
he was aged 42 when discharged in 1816.
possibly the same document as on FindMyPast.
