Marianne Pain in hospital with ?
« on: Monday 05 October 20 13:00 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help decipher this? Attached are the details of the arrival of Charles Pain (Payne) and his family in Australia in 1858, on the Golconda. In the column showing health (and 'usefulness'...) young Marianne is noted as "In Hospital with ..." but I cannot make out what she is in hospital with! Or is it "In Hospital in the ..."? If anyone could offer any help, that would be gratefully appreciated!
