Looks like daughter, Elizabeth, aged 4 in 1841 was baptised 1837 in Manchester. Parents John, Joiner and Elizabeth.

And Margaret was baptised in Hyde in 1835 - parents John, joiner and Elizabeth!

Maybe there are 2 couples John and Elizabeth - with John, a Carpenter or they were just co-habiting.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Thanks Pennines I try to see if I can find either John in 1851 - I was hoping that the John Reynolds who was a witness on the 1833 marriage was born in Chester and possibly a brother of the bride

I am a little confused, Kay. Which family ancestor brought you back to an Elizabeth Reynolds?

You seem to be looking at both someone with a married name of Elizabeth Reynolds - and another Elizabeth with maiden name of Reynolds.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Chester Chronicle, 16 Aug 1833
Marriages
13th inst. at St. Mary's church, in this city, by the Rev. W. Hutchinson, Mr. Thomas Speed, jun. of Poulton, to Miss Elizabeth Reynolds, of Pulford, near this city.

Five marriage notices and that is the only one on which they don't name the bride's father!

Marriage by licence, allegation is on FS

To me the signature of witness John Reynolds is markedly different to that of the groom on the 1837 marriage

 Thanks jonw65 - I agree it is a different signiture which solves the problem and the 1837 John R is not the same person who was a witness at the 1833 marriage

I am not sorry - it's so helpful to rule someone out  :)

Five marriage notices and that is the only one on which they don't name the bride's father!

Previous year...
Chester Chronicle, 23 Nov 1832
Marriages.
19th inst. at Pulford, Mr. T. Barton, of Manchester, to Ann, third daughter of Mr. John Reynolds, of Pulford, in this county.

John Reynolds on the land tax in Pulford early 1830s
In case the witness was Elizabeth's father? :-\
Apologies if you know her father wasn't John!
