Frances Mary Moore - Kingsgate 1800s
« on: Wednesday 07 October 20 14:09 BST (UK) »
I’m researching Frances Mary Moore.

Married to John Henry Norton: 25 October 1834, St. Peters, Thanet, Kent, England

At this stage I don’t need information on France's married life or her children.

I’m after information on Frances before her marriage.

Baptism of Frances is almost certain to be 23 Aug 1812, St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, England.

Her parents: Edward Moor (Moore) and Frances Moore nee Levi.

The information I have for Frances Mary Moore:
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LZKC-J49

The information on her parents:
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/M3VT-VCZ
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LW4R-9ZG

Frances’s parents / siblings lived in Kingsgate at the Convent / Lodge from the early 1800s.
Census 1841 and 1861 confirm the parents and children living at the Kingsgate, although Frances Mary Moore was married in 1834.

This is my dilemma. I have the baptism that links Frances Mary Moore to her parents names. As well as her age given on census / marriage documents. But nothing that shows her living with her parents at Kingsgate before marriage.

So even though I’m almost certain these are France Mary Moore’s parents, I’d like to find a document and/or birth that links her to Kingsgate and the Convent with her parent.

To dismiss any doubts of Frances Mary Moore’s parents.
NORTON (Kent), KEECH (Dorset), MOOR / MOORE (Kent), HOCKING (Dorset / Somerset), LEVI (City of York), SANDWELL (Kent), CHAFFIN  (Dorset / Somerset), STRONG (Dorset)

There is no mention of a middle name on her baptism 23 Aug 1812, apparently born on the 22nd.

The marriage you mention does have the middle name Mary, one of the witnesses was a Henry Moore.
There was a baptism of a Henry 30 Sep 1810 born31 Aug 1809 at Thanet with the same parents
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

It would make it easy if a middle name was shown on the baptism.

The marriage certificate also has what appears to be a Mary? Norton as the second witness I think.
Not sure who Mary is
