I was hoping you weren't going to say that, I'm looking for a birth record or census records for John Morris and I can't find anything for this town. He was born in 1836 and his father was George (from the marriage cert).

This document came up as a hint on Ancestry this morning and I was excited to see a word that to me, starts with a "H" and was going to give me somewhere new to look.

I only get one hit with those names, using birth year range 1834-1838:

Jamjar

He joined the army served in India with 101st foot regiment. Was eventually stationed in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland where he met my 2xGGM Margaret Quill. I have his story from the army recruitment onwards but can't pin down anything in England other than his army records.
