Sarah Jane Shears nee Stocks died 1900 death regd in Wortley

Hi. 
I am looking for the burial of the above whose death was registered in Wortley.  I am not sure of where Sarah was living at the time or in fact where she died.  I do know that as a child and when she married she lived on Holme Lane, Sheffield.  Can anyone help?

It might be worth checking to see where her family was living on the 1901 Census (assuming that there was a husband and children still living) - if they were in the Wortley RD this could narrow the search.

Hi All Thank you so much for yr efforts.  Plenty to get stuck into.  Sarah is my friend's ggm.  Her final resting place is still a mystery.  Any ideas ?

This is a guess - but her youngest children were in wadsley (Wortley reg dist) - Sarah Jane was born there - so maybe after John died she moved back there for help from her family-it seems probable that is where she died - so maybe she is in a family grave - it may be worth trying to find stocks graves and a burial for John as she may be with him

I understand that Sarah was born in Leeds in 1854 and had no connection with Leeds following her marriage and I'm the 1861 and 71 census was at Holme Lane.   We will have a look at John and also Jane's parent's.

I was leaning to a burial in Wadsley, as two of he sons were also living there in 1901.

Its 3.8miles, or more, Wadsley to Sheffield. Would they have taken her body that distance for burial with hubby?

Do we know where John was buried??

I think Sarah may have moved to wadsley after John's death or maybe with John earlier
