Perhaps someone can help i trying to search for someone who was in the Army stationed in Yeovil any tips please,

If you have a general research interest - you’ll only have access to limited information, unless they died more than 25 years ago.

You'll need a Death Certificate, a Date of Birth OR a Service Number, and a fee of £30.

If it's a query about a specific person, you'd need their military records (see previous comments from others).

If it's a query about which regiments had men stationed in the Yeovil area during 1945/46, then you could try contacting a local history group to see if that would help narrow your search.

Many thanks for all your replys,  seem i am stuck as i have only limited information regarding my birth father  only he was a cook in the officers mess in Yeovil.
Am trying to trace him and dont know if he even knows i was born.
