Re: Great-grandfather's death

I would be extremely grateful for serious guidance from anybody with some smart moves when it comes to tracking down Irish family BMDs.
My great-grandfather died in Ballyporeen, Tipperary, between the 1901 and 1911 census but I can't find any record of his death in the online records. Every so often over the past 10 years myself and my wife have studied the online records hoping they have been updated and include my great-grandfather but without any luck at all so far.
Is there any other way that I could find a record of his death or will I just have to assume the record of his death has been lost? Any help or suggestions would be very gratefullt received.

I think there are records that just aren’t there for whatever reason.
Could he have died in a different area?
Is there a family grave which might give you the year at least?
Maybe the local church would have a burial record although that might be difficult. I am not sure whether they were recorded in the same way as baptisms and marriages.
Have you looked for misspelling of the name?

I never found a death for my husband's great grandmother in Kildare, Southern Ireland. She died sometime after 1911 and would have been in her 80s. (Maybe she's still alive!!)

If you want to give his name maybe some super sleuth can help.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Maybe she's living with my great-grandfather - the hussey!
I've taken your advice and listed my great-grandfather's name - Edmond Barry - on another post. I hope it may help.
Thank you again for your reply.

Funnily enough - she was taking people to court between 1901 and 1911. It was woe betide anyone who crossed her. I actually did wonder if she may have been killed and buried in a field!

Hi

If Edmond Barry is your gr grandfather who died in Ballyporeen  between 1901 and 1911, is he on the 1901 census?   Can you give us the link?

Hello

Thank you for getting in touch.

I'm not quite sure what link you need exactly. We got our information from The National Archives of Ireland: Census of Ireland 1901, Residents of a house 4 in Newcastle (Ballyporeen, Tipperary).

My grandfather's christian name was James.

This may help or maybe not  :-\

Marriage of James Barry In 1909
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1909/10012/5641316.pdf

Edmond is not noted as deceased. It may be that the information was not asked for/offered but there are two other marriages on the page conducted by the same priest where the father is noted as deceased.  :-\
