There are a lot of splashes of white dots which even when cloned with patches of neighbouring material don't show up too well.  I hope someone else has an app to further enhance the definition by Contrast and Sharpening.   Alternatively, I could throw some colour at it ... what colour should the strips be?

Thankyou all... any improvement is better than the original, I think.
I can't even give an indication of colour as they changed their colours over time, and not certain of this very early photo. The local grounds were used firstly in 1918, and am not sure if there was a team prior to this.
