I 've just checked the baptisms register for Anne. This looks like her:

30 Oct 1831 Anne daughter of John (labourer) and Margaret Williams

Elizabeth's baptism on 11th May 1856, has them living in the village of Llanfair Talhaiarn , with Robert recorded as a slater

Hello Gadget, I'm so grateful to you for all the new information. I'm quite bowled over by it!

The reason I started the search was to find Elizabeth's sister Mary Lewis. Mary had children and grandchildren. I have pictures from a 1929 trip that Elizabeth took back to Wales to visit her "sister Mary". I have first names of the children and grandchildren from letters but no name of Mary's husband. Elizabeth's obit from 1935 said she had a sister Mary Jones who lived in London.

What does it say about Mary in the 1935 obituary?  Could she have been Robert Parry's sister rather than Elizabeth's.

From what Trish has found, the closest match, Maria, died in 1874 and there were  no other children of Anne and Robert

Also, could you give the name, approx age of Mary's children and where they were when Elizabeth visited them.  It might help find info about Mary.

12 Sept 1859  Mary, daughter of Robert (slater) and Anne Lewis

In 1871, Mary is at the Swan Inn, LT as  servant, aged 12

I'm not able to home in on a marriage for Mary. I think I need more info on where Elizabeth visited and possible names of Mary's  children.
